IPVS Internal Gear Hydraulic Pump from Voith is used in applications with constant speed that need increased pressure levels above those achieved by the standard IPV series. According to Voith, the IPVS has a maximum displacement level of 252 cm3 per revolution and maximum pressure level of 420 bar in some models. In IPVS operation, the pump uses an interlocking pinion and gear. With the rotation of the gears, oil is sucked in the space between the pinion and internal gear.
Voith IPVS displacements vary between 3.6 cm³/rev and 251.7 cm³/rev for sizes 3 to 7. The highest speed is 3,600 rpm in certain smaller size Voith pumps, while others having larger displacement work at reduced speeds. Some selected models of the IPVS 3 and IPVS 4 Voith pumps have pressures up to 345 bar as continuous pressure and 420 bar as maximum pressure in the particular speed range. Pressure values reduce for certain other larger displacement Voith pumps.
The range of IPVS offers the capability of clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation and can be mounted in any direction. Based on the type of design, either SAE mounting flanges based on ISO 3019-1 or VDMA type based on ISO 3019-2 can be provided. The pump operates on HLP mineral oil with temperatures ranging between -20°C and +80°C. The Voith company has specified ISO 4406 cleanliness level of 19/17/14.
