HAWE RZ hydraulic dual-stage radial piston pump is a compact hydraulic pump assembly that combines a radial piston high-pressure stage with a directly mounted gear-type low-pressure stage. HAWE designs the RZ as a classic dual-stage pump based on type R radial piston pump elements and a closed pump housing. This combined arrangement is useful when a hydraulic machine needs a higher flow rate for fast movement and a separate high-pressure flow for the working operation. Instead of using two fully separate pump units, the RZ integrates both delivery stages in one coordinated pump package.
The low-pressure gear pump is typically used for rapid traverse, filling movement or approach travel, while the high-pressure radial piston pump supplies the force required during the working stroke. HAWE offers the low-pressure flow is usually routed through a pressure-actuated idle circulation valve, allowing the system to switch over at a preset pressure.
