Voith IPV Internal Gear Hydraulic Pump is a fixed displacement pump designed specifically for constant speed drives. This pump delivers a fixed amount of oil for each revolution of the shaft, making it ideal for hydraulic systems that regulate pressure and flow using valves, actuators, and other control devices. The internal gear structure of the pump includes a pinion shaft, internal gear, filler assembly, axial discs, plain bearings, and a hydrostatic bearing system. The revolving gears suck the hydraulic oil into the suction cavity and move it to the pressure side.

The IPV series offers displacements between 3.6 cm³ per revolution and 251.7 cm³ per revolution. The official models for size are IPV 3, IPV 4, IPV 5, IPV 6, and IPV 7. Operating speeds can differ based on the model and can be as high as 3,600 rpm in smaller models. Based on displacement, the continuous pressure is up to 330 bar, while the peak pressure is up to 345 bar. However, because the higher pressure and speed are not uniform among all models, the user needs to choose the pump from the official table of operations.

This pump is approved for HLP mineral hydraulic oils based on DIN 51524 – either 2 or 3. The designated viscosity value varies between 10 to 300 mm²/s, whereas the fluid temperature may be up to -20°C and +80°C. Good filtration and oil purity are still important to guarantee the longevity of operation.
