Voith IPH Internal Gear Hydraulic Pump

Voith IPH Internal Gear Hydraulic Pump is built for special drive systems with constant speed. Compared to the IPV and IPVS series, the IPH series features more specialized displacement capacity up to about 126 cm³/revolutions. The pump consists of two working gears that provide good suction performance. The hydraulic fluid gets into the gap between the pinion and the internal gear and goes to the high-pressure side. The teeth of the pinion start entering the gaps in the internal gear, displacing the oil through the output port.

The gears are axially sealed through the gear chambers and filling elements. Side clearance is adjusted via axial disks and pressure-compensating components. This ensures reduced volumetric losses and provides high hydraulic efficiency. The IPH range has nine displacements ranging between 20.7 and 125.6 cm³ per revolution. Frame sizes available are IPH 4, IPH 5, and IPH 6. Small size pumps operate at speeds up to 3,000 rpm, and IPH 6 size pumps operate at speeds up to 2,500 rpm.

Models selected can be used in operating pressures up to 300 bar and peak pressures up to 330 bar. There are other models that have operating pressure of 250 bar and peak pressure ranging from 300 to 315 bar. These limits will have to be taken into account while selecting the pump. Right hand and left-hand models are both available. The pump can be installed in any position, and it uses SAE flanges for hydraulic connection.

Voith highlights extremely high efficiency, very low pulsation, low noise, sturdy build and multi-flow capacity as major advantages of the IPH pump. Low pulsation assists in lowering pressure, vibrations and noise in the valves, piping, and actuators associated with the pump. The pump can use HLP mineral hydraulic oil, viscosity range between 10-300 mm²/s, and fluid temperature range between -20°C to +80°C. Suction pressure and filter quality are important for ensuring longevity of the pump.
