HYDAC MPR Hydraulic Axial Piston Motor is a high-precision regulating motor designed for automatic torque control, constant speed, and efficient work in a wide range of operating conditions for hydraulic drive systems. This motor is applicable in both open and closed hydraulic circuits and is controlled by system pressure in the working line. Under the threshold of the specified regulation start point, the motor keeps its minimum displacement. Once the pressure exceeds this point, the motor's displacement increases, and the torque control starts according to the system requirements.
This model is produced in MPR200 series in sizes 75, 105, 135, 165, 210, and 280. According to the motor size, the maximum displacement is varied between 75.9 and 281.9 cm³/rev, while the minimum one varies from 25.3 to 93 cm³/rev. The motor works with the nominal pressure of 450 bar and withstands up to 500 bar peak pressure for a short period of time. Maximum possible operating speeds of the motor are up to 3800 rpm with maximum displacement and the torque output reaches up to 1929 Nm. The largest size model provides the power capacity of up to 586 kW.
One of the key benefits of using the HYDAC MPR motor is its built-in system-pressure regulation. The regulating pressure start can be set between 150 and 290 bar, and the regulating pressure end is around five per cent higher than the chosen start pressure. Since the regulating process is performed internally, there will be no unnecessary control lines needed for the system. It results in a more efficient installation and reliable operation of the machine.
Moreover, hydraulic or electrical Vmax displacement override can be mounted on the motor. The feature enables the unit to operate as a fixed-displacement motor regardless of the control pressure if required. There is also the possibility of pressure-control side selection for closed circuit transmission drives. Thanks to this option, harsh braking on coasting can be avoided, as only the pressure on the driving side is supplied to the regulator.
