HYDAC AKP Hydraulic Axial Piston Pump represents a compact micro-axial piston pump which was specifically created for unique open-loop hydraulic systems that demand very small displacement, accurate fluid delivery, and exceptionally high pressure of operation. The AKP Hydraulic Axial Piston Pump family includes two models of AKP103 and AKP105 and features displacements of 0.1 to 0.3 cm³/rev respectively, while offering maximum operating pressures of 500 bar. Thus, it is a great option for compact systems where traditional hydraulic pumps cannot perform as necessary due to their size or inability to provide required control.

The AKP103 model is equipped with three pumping elements and has a displacement of 0.1 cm³/rev, while AKP105 – with five pumping elements and a displacement of 0.3 cm³/rev. Both models allow reaching the speed of 5000 rpm. According to the specific type of the model, the pump provides a maximum torque of 2.99 Nm and drive power of 1.57 kW. Valve controlled pressure and suction sides guarantee stability in work. Nevertheless, the device is only applicable as a pump and not as a hydraulic motor.

The HYDAC AKP axial piston pump is based on a wobble shaft concept with oversized rolling bearings and a rotating wobble plate. This type of design ensures that volumetric efficiency is very high and is achieved at extremely low operational speeds. Moreover, the hydraulic pump generates low noise and works within a wide range of operating speed. Continuous lubrication and cooling of the components occur via the suction flow.

Compact mounting size makes the AKP pump an ideal choice for use in offshore equipment, oil and gas industry, oceanographic equipment, remotely controlled vehicles, handling systems, small power hydraulic units, hydraulic circuits with minimum displacement needs. The pump is able to operate under unfavorable environmental conditions. The pump works using mineral hydraulic oil, DIN 51524, and has fluid temperatures range from -20 to +80 degrees Celsius.
