HYDAC Hydraulic Orbital Motor series have been developed to generate rotational motion and ensure reliable speeds and torque from hydraulic pressure and oil flow. In orbital motors, a gear rotor spins in a fixed external gear or stator. Hydraulic pressure pushes the gear assembly and drives the system through the output shaft. Such an operational method makes HYDAC orbital motors capable of generating starting torque and steady output torque regardless of speed.
HYDAC produces both spool-valve and disc-valve types of orbital motors. The MM, MP, MR and MH series represent compact and flexible spool-valve units. In accordance with chosen models, the spool-valve motors work with a gerotor or roll-gerotor type of gears. Gerotor-type motors ensure good results with medium pressures or at high pressure for a relatively short period. On the other hand, roll-gerotor units reduce friction, stresses and reactions with the help of rollers.
In MS, MT and MV series of motors, there is a separate disc distributor valve actuated via a cardan shaft. The balance plate controls the hydraulic forces on the valve, thus improving starting behavior and allowing high pressure efficient operation. Roll-gerotor design and tapered roller bearings are capable of handling the loads in both axial and radial directions.
Standard motors include wheel motors and short motors depending on the mounting with custom options. In standard motors, flange mounting is close to the output shaft. Wheel motors enable compact mounting into the wheel or drum or roller hub housing. Short motors are ideal for gearboxes, reels, winches, and roll drives with a machine having an internally splined shaft.
