HYDAC MPA Hydraulic Axial Piston Motor

HYDAC MPA Hydraulic Axial Piston Motor is a manually adjustable fixed-displacement motor designed for use in highly efficient open and closed hydraulic systems. This motor features high starting torque, low-speed operation capability, and reliable power transmission during difficult operating conditions. In contrast to the typical fixed-displacement motor, the displacement of the MPA200 motor can be mechanically regulated to a required value via an adjustment screw. As a result, it increases flexibility in designing hydraulic systems with fixed-displacement motors.

There are three types of the MPA200 motor family which have different displacements. The MPA200-165 can provide a maximum displacement of 165.6 cm³/rev, whereas the MPA200-210 has a maximum displacement of 210.1 cm³/rev. The maximum displacement of the biggest MPA200-280 model is equal to 281.9 cm³/rev. Depending on the chosen model, the displacement can be mechanically adjusted within the specified range.

The unit runs at an operating pressure of 450 bar and can tolerate peak pressures of 500 bar. Based on its dimensions, it is capable of supporting continuous operational speeds of 3100 rpm and generating output torques of up to 1929 Nm. The maximum power output capability is of 586 kW making it suitable for use with heavy mobile equipment, hydrostatic transmissions, construction equipment, mining machinery, agriculture machinery, material handling equipment, marine equipment and difficult industrial drive applications.

The HYDAC MPA motor is capable of rotating in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions. Also, there are options for output shaft configurations, SAE mounting flanges, radial ports and surface protection. Some of the units may have optional through-drive configuration in which case it is able to fit into the drivetrain without the need for separate distribution gearbox.

Optional purge relief valves can be included for oil exchange in closed circuits and controlling motor or system temperatures. Speed sensor can also be included to measure the rotational speed and direction. The motor is fitted with standard FPM seals and requires HLP hydraulic oil. Filtration of hydraulic oil is necessary for its proper operation.
