Parker Bent Axis Variable Motors - V14 Series were developed for applications that require the capacity to function under extreme high pressures. They come in two sizes, 110 and 160 cc, with an intermittent operating pressure of 480 bar and continuous operation pressure of 420 bar. V14 and its 9-piston configuration is said to provide good starting torque and stability at a range of speeds which makes it suitable for high-end equipment such as attachments of excavators, forestry machinery and machines for mining.
Operating with a 35° variable displacement, the V14 Series is highly effective and flexible. Its compact form permits incorporation in assemblies with limitations in space, while achieving a high power-to-weight ratio suitable for mobile equipment. The series also supports many control features including, rotating pressure compensators, proportional control etc. In addition, the low noise level and tough construction help in the endurance of the motor in the course of time as there are no many maintenance activities required.
Parker V14 motors are built with special laminated piston rings, a sturdy synchronizing shaft and durable roller bearings. It can withstand highly rotational force due to minimum or rather no wearing effect of the moving parts. The advanced control of the V14 series can also be made possible by adding sensors and valves into the system making it suitable for industries where high performance and regulation are needed even under harsh conditions.
