Oilgear PVV-250 Variable Displacement Axial Piston Pump can handle heavy flows, high pressures and long duty cycles. With a maximum displacement of 250 cc/rev, this pump is designed for large industrial and mobile applications where high flow and high pressure are key. It’s an open-loop circuit pump built for durability, precision and high performance.
This is rated for continuous pressure up to around 345 bar (5,000 psi) and peak pressure up to 400 bar (5,800 psi), the PVV-250 can handle tough hydraulic jobs. Depending on RPM, the rated flow at full displacement is approximately 59 gpm (~223 l/min) at 1,000 RPM, 72 gpm (~273 l/min) at 1,200 RPM and about 109 gpm (~413 l/min) at 1,800 RPM. This high flow capability is for heavy duty equipment like large presses, mining systems, material-handling installations and large hydraulic power units.
Oilgear pumps are engineered with long life and high performance in mind. The cylinder barrel is supported by hydrodynamic bearings which reduce internal wear and friction under heavy loads. The rotating group has hardened contact surfaces (“hard-on-hard” design) which resist contamination and allow reliable operation with low viscosity fluids. These features reduce downtime, extend maintenance intervals and deliver high performance in harsh environments.
The control response is another notable feature. The PVV-250 has sophisticated displacement control which allows smooth and rapid output changes to system demands. This makes it a good fit for applications where hydraulic loads change quickly or where high precision is required, like material handling, large mobile fleets or industrial test rigs.
Although this is a high capacity pump, the frame size is relatively compact for its performance class. Engineers can choose from multiple shaft configurations, rotation directions and porting options (top, bottom or rear). This flexibility makes it easy to integrate the pump into new systems or retrofit into existing hydraulic setups.
