Oilgear PFBA- 8 Fixed Displacement Piston Pump is a fixed displacement axial piston pump designed for heavy-duty hydraulic systems requiring a constant flow, high pressures, and long-term reliability. This type has a displacement of 18.5 cc/rev and develops robust hydraulic output suited for heavy-duty industrial, marine, and high-pressure applications.
This pump is constructed for open-loop hydraulic circuits, allowing operation at a speed of up to 2000 RPM (continuous duty-operation at max. 1800 RPM). The continuous pressure rating of the PFBA-8 is up to 500 bar, which enables high-pressure work that might be impossible with conventional pumps. Under rated conditions, it supplies a stable flow of approximately 8.56 gallons per minute (≈ 32.4 l/min) at 1800 RPM and offers reliable fluid delivery in severe operational environments.
One of the greatest strengths of the PFBA-8 is in its internal design, which is developed for the most heavy-duty environments. The pump features a stationary block with pistons made of hardened steel. Since the pistons do not move relative to the body, they avoid centrifugal forces, which in return reduce wear, increase robustness, and enhance tolerance against contamination. Compatible with low-viscosity or water-based fluids, thanks to its seated-valve design and construction, it can be very useful in a range of specialized applications, from water-based hydraulics to fire-resistant fluid systems.
The PFBA-8 is well suited for heavy-duty hydraulic systems, including high-pressure test rigs, industrial presses, forging or extrusion machines, marine hydraulic units, intensifier systems, and high-pressure lubrication circuits. Its fixed-displacement character guarantees repeatable flow and pressure delivery, which is of essence in applications requiring precision and repeatability.
Installation and integration are made easier by its compact yet sturdy frame, manageable dimensions-length approximately 346 mm, width/height approximately 211 mm-and moderate weight of ~45 kg. These features make the PFBA-8 easier to mount even in moderately sized systems without sacrificing hydraulic power.
