The Oilgear PFBA-2 Fixed Displacement Axial Piston Pump is designed for demanding hydraulic systems that need stable flow, high pressure and long life. With a displacement of 4.5 cc/rev it’s for high pressure, precision hydraulic applications where constant output is critical.
This pump is part of the PFBA fixed displacement family, known for consistent flow and pressure. The PFBA-2 can handle continuous pressure up to 1000 bar (≈ 14,500 psi) making it suitable for heavy duty applications like high pressure test rigs, molding or forging presses, intensifier systems, turbine lubrication or marine and civil hydraulic applications. Its robust design ensures safe and reliable operation even under extreme pressure.
Despite its compact size the PFBA-2 delivers hydraulic output. At 1800 RPM under rated pressure and proper inlet conditions it produces approximately 1.96 gallons per minute (≈ 7.4 liters per minute). This is perfect for applications where fluid control is critical — like forced lubrication systems, high pressure circuits, auxiliary hydraulics or test and calibration systems.
Oilgear engineers the PFBA-2 with durability and fluid flexibility in mind. The pump has a stationary piston body, hardened internal components and a seated-valve arrangement. This reduces wear, eliminates centrifugal loads on pistons and improves tolerance to contamination. The design supports modern, low-lubricity and even water-based hydraulic fluids — a big advantage in systems using special or synthetic fluids or in environments where fluid cleanliness is a concern.
Because of its fixed displacement and robust design the PFBA-2 offers predictable and repeatable hydraulic performance. It integrates well into new hydraulic systems or when upgrading existing ones. The compact footprint allows installation even in tight equipment layouts and the high pressure rating means strong performance where standard pumps would fail.
