Oilgear PVM-025 Variable Displacement Hydraulic Pump is a versatile variable-displacement axial piston pump designed for open-loop hydraulic systems where high precision and performance are called for. This pump provides controlled hydraulic flow up to 25 cc/rev for light and medium-duty industrial and mobile applications that demand reliability in performance with efficient energy use.
Given that it is designed for flexibility in operation along with much stability, the PVM-025 can support a maximum continuous pressure of 260 bar, approximately 3750 psi, at speeds up to 2700 RPM. In real-world hydraulic conditions, if it runs around 1800 RPM at the rated continuous pressure under normal inlet conditions, the produced fluid flow is about 38.2 L/min ≈ 10.1 gpm.
It is a variable displacement design that allows for the operator to command output flow based upon system demand. Unlike other fixed-displacement pumps, PVM-025 pumps only deliver the amount of flow called for at a particular moment, thereby reducing wasted energy and heat buildup. This makes this type of pump suitable for applications like compact hydraulic presses, auxiliary circuits, cylinder actuation, mobile machine hydraulics, and auxiliary power units given the need to adapt to ever-changing load conditions.
