Oilgear D-817 Legacy Variable Displacement Hydraulic Pump is a compact and highly reliable hydraulic pump with high precision flow and speed control. The pump is part of the legendary D-Series pumps by Oilgear and is recognized for its strong design, long life span, and reliable operation even in high-demand industrial applications. The pump is based on the successful two-way variable displacement design by Oilgear and offers smooth and responsive hydraulic operation with high energy efficiency.

Designed for open-loop hydraulic systems, the D-817 pump reacts instantaneously to electric hand servos or fixed speed position commands. The instant reaction enables the operator to precisely control the motion in processing machines, presses, and other industrial equipment. The displacement adjust feature of the pump ensures that the power required is used proportionally to the work accomplished, thereby minimizing power losses and unnecessary generation of heat.

The Oilgear D-817 has a positive variable delivery radial rolling piston design. These features of the positive variable delivery radial rolling piston design enable the pump to perform well and function correctly at high pressure. The design of the pump has minimized the occurrence of flow loss and prevents the need for the use of complex valves.

This legacy pump is very well suited for uses that demand consistent and stable operations, as well as reversal of fluid flow and infinite variation of fluid flow. This design also takes care of pressure transitions that occur while reversing fluid flow. Once proven trustworthy over many successful years of operational services, the D-817 is still used and considered very reliable.

Though Oilgear recommends the use of their newer PVV pump series for newer systems, the D-817 remains a reliable alternative for existing systems. The D-817 provides proven Oilgear engineering and reliability for applications requiring precise hydraulic control.
