Putzmeister A10VO18 Hydraulic Pump controls the flow of hydraulic fluid for the boom circuit in all compatible Putzmeister concrete pumps. The model has a manufacturer part number of 551745 and the configuration A10VO18DR. These pumps are relatively small in size but crucial to proper machine operation.

This hydraulic pump has a nominal displacement of 18 cm³/rev and it operates as a variable displacement axial piston pump in the open hydraulic circuit. Oil is taken from the reservoir and is supplied to the hydraulic functions and returns to the tank. In other words, the swashplate mechanism changes the stroke of pistons to regulate the output of the hydraulic pump.

The hydraulic pump is regulated by a DR pressure controller in accordance with the pressure. If the pressure is less than the value of the set point, the hydraulic pump will supply the flow that the circuit requires. With the pressure reaching the set point value, the hydraulic controller reduces the angle of the swashplate and thus reduces the displacement of the pump.
