Oilgear D-2017 Legacy Variable Displacement Pump is a field-proven, two-way hydraulic pump engineered for precise speed control and dependable performance in demanding industrial applications. Part of Oilgear’s legendary D Series, this pump has found wide application in processing machinery, manufacturing systems, and heavy-duty hydraulic installations where consistent output and long service life are required.
With the robust variable-displacement mechanism, the hydraulic flow automatically adjusts according to the demand of the system. Since power is used only in proportion to the work being performed, energy losses are reduced to a minimum, much heat generation is avoided, and overall system efficiency increases significantly. The D-2017 responds instantly to resistance in the load, delivering smooth, accurate control and eschewing unnecessary buildup of pressure, unlike many of its fixed-displacement brethren.
D-2017 models of Oilgear may operate in open-loop hydraulic circuit conditions and sustain continuous operating pressures up to 2100 psi, hence very suitable for a wide range of medium-pressure industrial applications. It has a maximum operating speed of 1800 RPM. The performance is non-uniform, yet the flow characteristics are the same throughout the operating zone. Maximum displacement of 82.24 cc/rev allows multiple flow requirements with uncompromised stability and responsiveness.
Internally, the D-2017 features a multi-radial rolling piston, which provides added strength and helps to distribute the load evenly. This increases the internal durability of the pump and helps to promote a longer life. Also, it can be set up to have either one or two control types and features internal high-pressure relief valves, a gear pump, and a relief valve. Oilgear’s pintle check-type suction and return valve helps accommodate a two-way system, either differential or non-differential.
One of the important benefits with the Oilgear D-2017 Legacy Variable Displacement Pump is the fact that the hydraulic circuits become easier to operate. This is the case because the pump eliminates the need for the use of several direction control valves and/or flow control valves. As a result, the system becomes less complex with fewer fittings and lower installation costs. Moreover, the system features beneficial reversal pressures.
